Addie Elizabeth "Beebish" Halbert Columbus Mississippi - Addie Elizabeth "Beebish" Halbert 82 died May 17, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. Mrs. Halbert was born on July 29, 1923 in Columbus to the late George Raymond and Julia Locke Loftis. She was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Stuckenschnider Sunday School Class. She was a retired employee of Bell South after 46 years and a 1940 graduate of New Hope High School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers George Loftis, John Milton Loftis, and James Battle Loftis. Funeral services will be Friday May 19, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron McDougald officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 6 until 8 at Memorial Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband of 60 years James Halbert of Columbus MS, Sister- Dot Hollis of Columbus, Nieces- Kay Ellis (Steve) of Columbus, Becky Johnston (Kevan) of Arlington TX, Virginia Kerr of Columbus, Valerie Dorsey (Monty) of Little Rock AR Nephews- Frank Loftis (Dean) of Columbus, Milton Loftis (Nancy) of Little Rock AR, Jim Loftis (Jeanette) of Little Rock AR. Pallbearers will be Steve Ellis, Ben Ellis, Kevan Johnston, Frank Loftis, Milton Loftis, Jim Loftis, , . Honorary Pallbearers will be James and Juanita Browm, John and Debbie Gore, Eddie and Darryl Perkins, Stuckenschinder Sunday School Class, Retired employees of Bell South, Wes Farmer.
