Bettie J. Frohreich, age 83, of Columbus, MS, passed away February 4, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 7, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Calvary Assembly of God Church with Rev. Clark Richardson officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Forest Cemetery near Ethelsville, AL. Visitation will be Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Calvary Assembly of God Church. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Frohreich was born November 19, 1929, in Jamestown, IN, to the late Russell and Delia Dugan Wiley. She moved to Columbus 39 years ago. Her married life was spent in Michigan, Colorado, and Oklahoma prior to Columbus, MS, where she resided with her husband, Richard, until her going home. Bettie owned several ceramic shops while in Norman and Ponca City, OK. Here in Columbus, her hobby was raising beautiful flowers in her green house then planting them in her one acre garden that family and friends knew as her "park". Also, during this time, she and her husband enjoyed numerous vacations to places such as Hawaii, Aruba, and New Zealand. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Patrick Frohreich, brothers, Jim and Russell Wiley, and sister, Rosemary Smith. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Richard Frohreich of Columbus, MS, daughters, Bonnie Cunningham and her husband James of Amory, MS, Julie Dallas of Caledonia, MS, Deborah Haynes of Columbus, MS, brother, John Wiley of Brownsburg, IN, sisters, Helen Disney of Danville, IN, Jane Hession of Brownsburg, IN, Regina Watson of Allentown, PA, Marita Landis of Indianapolis, IN, grandchildren, Abella and Alissa Frohreich of CO, Steven Jennings of West Point, MS, Emily Dallas of Tuscaloosa, AL, Ashley Haynes of Columbus, MS, Jax and Carson Dallas of Caledonia, MS, and great grandchildren, Hannah and Lilly Frohreich of CO. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Bettie's compassionate love and helpful advice will be greatly missed by all she touched.
