Clelia Gladys (BB) Cash Miss Gladys Cash, age 73, of Columbus, MS died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at BMHGT surrounded by her family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm Friday, January 25,2008. Her funeral service will be held in the chapel of Memorial Funeral Home at 10 am Saturday, January 26, with Dr. Albert Wilkerson officiating. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery. The daughter of the late Martin Tillman Cash,Sr. and Gladys Elliott Cash, Ms. Cash was born June 12,1934 in Columbus, MS. Gladys graduated from MUW and MSU obtaining both a Masters and Specialist degree in Education. She was a retired teacher and principal for Columbus Municipal Schools. She was a member and past president of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Gladys was a member of East End Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, librarian, and director of the reading club. She loved traveling, attending Mississippi State football games, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Ms. Cash was predeceased by brothers Marvin Cash, Johnny Cash, and Pap Cash. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Peggy Cash of Columbus and Louise Cash of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by her nieces Nancy Sewell (Tim) and Becky Cash of Columbus and Sherry Fotinakes (Randy) of Marieetta, GA; nephews Mike Cash (Nancy) and Marty Cash (Kathy) of Columbus and Phillip Cash (Beverly)of Pensacola, FL and a host of great nieces and nephews. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Sidney Rickman, Faye Wright, Henry Basinger, members of East End Baptist Church, and the nurses in CCU at BMHGT.
