LENWOOD ASHCRAFT Lenwood Stokes Ashcraft age 85 died Friday, March 04, 2011 at his residence in Columbus. Services will be held Monday, March 07, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Gillis, Rev. Wes Jones, and Rev. Brad Wright officiating, burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mr. Ashcraft was born on Wednesday, September 09, 1925 in Steens, MS to the late Earnest and Eura Stokes Ashcraft. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a retired employee of United Technologies, and a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include: Wife: Marjean Johnson Ashcraft Columbus MS One Daughter: Diane Harris (Wayne), Columbus, MS One Son: Joey Ashcraft (Sandra), Columbus, MS Three Sisters: Erma Weathers, Columbus, MS Sarah Laprade, Tupelo, MS Jeanette Bobbitt, Tuscaloosa, AL 4 Grandchildren 10 Great Grandchildren The Pallbearers will be: Herbert Junkin, Raymond Howard, Tommy Harris, Buddy McCullough, Gavin Embree, and Brad Wright In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donors favorite charity
