ADELAIDE S. UMLAND Adelaide Schallert Umland age 100 went to be with God on May 3, 2008. She was born on June 24, 1907 in Johnson Creek Wisconsin to the late Will H. and Rose Myers Schallert. In 1927 she married her late husband Carl W. Umland Sr. and together they raised 3 children. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Her generous heart was dedicated to serving others. She spread her many enthusiasms through crafts, and established the Beckley, West Virginia Craft Fair and had a television program there. She was an avid reader, a talented artist, and a great homemaker. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her younger siblings Winston, Rosemary, and Donavan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 10, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob Wilbur officiating. survivors include: Daughter-Theo Gordon of Columbus, Miss. Son-Carl Umland, II. (Jean) of Indianapolis, Ind. Son-David Umland (Carol) of Centennial, Colo.
