Joy B. McClanahan Columbus Mississippi - Joy B. McClanahan 73 died December 26, 2005 at her daughters residencein Columbus. Mrs. McClanahan was born on May 23, 1932 in Columbus to the late Robert Quinton and Erma Meredith Baynham. She a member of First United Methodist Church, a1950 graduate of S.D. Lee High School, and attended Mississippi University for Women. She was a life member and former president of the Columbus Junior Auxiliary, and past president and charter member of the Home and Garden Club. She was a member of the Beta Mu Chapter of Delta, Delta, Delta and a member of the Columbus Board of Realtors from 1977 to 1987, and was a former Realtor Associate of the Year. She was also the former owner and operator of Joy's Gifts and Flowers, and a member of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her great granddaughter Sarah Sanders Hartlein and her friend Cindi Fullerton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 31, 2005 from First United Methodist Church with the Dr. Sam Morris and Rev. Sandra DePriest officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church. Survivors include Daughters: Deborah M. Sanders (Steve) of Columbus MS, Meredith M. Fraser (Keith) of Columbus MS. Son: Robert Willis McClanahan of Columbus MS, Grandchildren: Stephen and Amanda Sanders, Meredith Lynn and Wesley Hartlien, Elizabeth Anne Fraser, Catherine Joy Fraser, and Cody Alan McClanahan Great Grandchildren: Madison Sanders, Douglas Sanders, and Rogers Wesley Hartlein. Pallbearers will be Otis Garrard, Hunter Gholson, Freddie Jones, Willis Puckett, Bobby Redwood, Hugo Molliston, Si Thomas, Keith Thomas, Craig Thomas, Al Puckett. Honorary Pallbearers will be First United Methodist Lewis Fellowship Sunday School Class and Roy Moore Jr. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church P.O. Box 32 Columbus MS 39703
