BETTY JEAN BURGESS Betty Jean Burgess age 81 died Thursday, December 08, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus MS. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Burgess was born on Tuesday, June 03, 1930 in Wayne County, IL to the late Roscoe and Wretha Miley McBride. She attended Flora High School in Flora, IL, and was a member of the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints. After her husband retired, they spent much time with their hobbies of woodworking and traveling the country, and spent several winters in Texas. She was a 30 year cancer survivor. Her survivors include her husband Olaf Burgess whom she married on February 14, 1948, she is also survived by: Five Daughters: Judy Miller (Stan), Starkville, MS Janis Burgess, Brandon, MS Penny Primos (Mike), Brandon, MS Sheri Mahoney (Mike), New Orleans, LA Mary Jane Burgess, Brandon, MS One Sister: Shirley Burgess (George), Xenia, IL One Brother: John McBride, Xenia, IL Four Grandchildren: Greg Miller (Lauren) Brett Miller (Kelly) Jeremy Primos (Lauren) Kelly Axton (Tim) 9 great grandchildren In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis TN 38101 Susan G.
