Helen Kathleen Crawford Lollar, 56, died Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation was Sunday afternoon at Memorial Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Funeral services, with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating, were held Monday, December 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church . Burial followed the service in Friendship Cemetery. Mrs. Lollar was born July 24, 1952 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. At four months old, she was adopted by the late Earl and Leona Edwards Crawford, after being picked out by her brother Charley Crawford. She graduated from Waltrop High School in Houston, Tx. For the last 27 years, she was the co-owner and manager of the House of Tux with her husband Danny. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Sanctuary Choir. She was also previously president of the Magnolia Corvette Club for 9 years. She loved "Jeeping" and hiking near her second home in the San Juan mountains in Colorado. Helen is survived by her husband Danny Guy Lollar , son John Robertson, II both of Columbus, MS step -daughters Jennifer Garrard(Toby) of Columbus, MS and Gina Double' (Christophe) of Paris, France, brother Charley Crawford of Columbus, MS, brother-In-Law Bobby Lollar (Ruby) of Bedford, TX, sister-in-Law Janice Loftis( Keith) of Brentwood, TN, aunt Olive Krick of Houston, TX, grandchildren Blaine Garrard and Paxton Garrard both of Columbus, MS special friends Ann Wilkerson , whom she looked on as a sister, of West Point, MS and Krissy Howell, whom she looked on as a daughter, of Columbus, MS. Pallbearers were Billy Holliman, Brett Lollar, Bruce Hanson, Floyd Acorn, Eric Wilkerson and Justin Wilkerson . The honorary pallbearers were First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir, Judy Sanderson, Brenda Round, Beth Keys, Linda Hanson, Carolyn Pope, George & Chris Judson, and Leonard & June Hahl. Her family wishes to thank the fourth floor nurses and caregivers of Baptist Memorial for their loving care and concern during Helen's last days here on earth.
