GRADY R. MORDECAI JR. Grady Richard Mordecai, Jr. Age 76 died November 15, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangl in Columbus, MS Services will be held at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Lamar County Alabama on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Melvin Mordecai and Rev. Jim Mordecai Officiating burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, November 16, 2006 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Mr. Mordecai was born on April 11, 1930 in Lamar County Alabama to the late Grady Richard and Ila Ridgeway Mordecai Sr. He was of the Methodist faith and a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was the retired owner/operator of Mordecai Grocery Store, and a member of the VFW and the American Legion. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Woodrow, Warren, Coolidge, Kelly and Eubanks Mordecai and one sister Clarice Sansing. survivors include: Wife-Clara Jean Mordecai of Columbus, Miss. Daughter-Gwen Burks (Mike) of Columbus, Miss. Daughter-Ramona Farrar (Mark) of Jacksonville, Fla. Daughter-Priscilla Earhart (Adam) of Columbus, Miss. Son-Ricky Mordecai (Diana) of Columbus, Miss.
