Johnson Age 73 died September 18, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle Services will be held at Fairview Baptist Church on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Sammy Crawford Officiating burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery Visitation will be at Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Mr. Johnson was born on December 23, 1934 in Lamar County Alabama to the late William Terry and Nancy Elizabeth O'Mary Johnson. He was a 1952 graduate of Lamar County High School, and a retired employee of United Technologies after 32 years of service. He served 31 years on the Columbus Auxillary Police force, and retired as chief in 1999. He served as a baliff at Columbus City Court, and was still serving as assistant manager at Trotter Convention Center. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. survivors include: Wife-Dorothy F. Johnson of Columbus, Miss. Daughter-Rebecca Palmer (David) of Columbus, Miss. Son-Glenn Johnson (Wanda) of Southaven, Miss. Brother-Archie L. Johnson (Pat) of Rockford, Ill. Sister-Marie Vaughan of Columbus, Miss. Grandchildren -Nicole P.
