Arnold L. Fant Columbus Mississippi - Arnold L. Fant 79 died August 10, 2005 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle,Columbus MS. Mr. Fant was born on July 11, 1926 in Franklin County Mississippi to the late Claude Richard and Alpha Cantrell Fant. He was a member of Columbus First Baptist Church and retired from Columbus Light & Water after 35 years.He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and a Bronze Star Recipiant. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the Floating Turtle Camp. He was a former member of the Columbus Lions Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Durell Fant. Funeral services will be Saturday August 13, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. from First Baptist Church with the Dr. Shawn Parker, Dr. Bobby Douglas,and Rev. John Cook Jr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Survivors include his Wife wife of 52 years Sadie P. Fant of Columbus, Daughter: Frances F. Yarbrough (Ronnie) of Columbus, Son: Richard Fant (Wendylyn) of Columbus, Grandchildren: Amanda Fant, Carrie Hollis, Parker Yarbrough, Michael Dement Fant Great Grandchildren: Rachel and Austin Hollis, Sisters: Shirley Hildreth of Columbus, Willodean Cox of Columbus, sister-in-law Robbie Fant of Columbus, Brothers: Gene Fant of Mt. View Arkansas. In lieu of Flowers Memorials may be made to donor's choice.
