David Earl Goodman, Sr. Age 80 died January 22, 2009 at Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, MS Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Daniel Farris and Slade Blend Officiating burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery Visitation was at Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, January 24, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Mr. Goodman was born on March 28, 1928 in Columbus to the late Weyman Guy and Sadie Shelton Goodman. He was a retired Electrician working for the Local Union 917 and a former employee of Columbus Light & Water. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ponds Goodman his daughter Rachel Evonne Goodman,and his son Thomas Earl Goodman. survivors include: Daughter-Annette Griffiths (Wayne) of Pawtucket, R.I. Daughter-Kathy Derby (Tim) of Columbus, Miss. Daughter-Janice Goodman of Columbus, Miss. Son-David Earl Goodman, Jr. (Brenda) of Corinth, Miss. Sister-Martha Waltman of Columbus, Miss. Sister-Rachel McGee (Paul) of Columbus, Miss. Brother-Julius "Pete" Goodman (Elaine) of Columbus, Miss.
