FRANCES R. HARPOLE Frances Evelyn Richie Harpole Age 85 died September 2, 2007 at Windsor Place Nursing Home in Columbus. Family graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday September 5, 2007 at Friendship Cemetery. with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. A memorial service will follow at First Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church Mrs. Harpole was born on July 19, 1922 in Deemer Mississippi to the late O.C. and Mary Peyton Hardin Richie. She was a member of First Baptist church where she was a member of the Elouise Crossley Sunday School Class and a former Sunday School teacher. She was a homemaker and a former executive secretary for American Bosch, and California Eastern Airways. She also worked with her late husband at B&B Construction, H&S Steel, and Harpole Steel Buildings. Mrs. Harpole was an avid golfer, bridge player and a member of the Cherokee Garden Club. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James E. Harpole, one sister Katherine Danielson, and two brothers Robert and Jim Richie. survivors include: Son-Allen Bunk Harpole (Lucy) of Columbus, Miss. Brother-Joe Richie (Jean) of Demopolis, Ala. Sister-Louise Rogers of Brandon, Miss. Grandchild-Ann Harpole Roth (John) of Birmingham, Ala. Grandchild-John Harpole (Christine) of Birmingham, Ala. Grandchild-Jim Harpole of Augusta, Ga.
