Willodean "Dean" Eaves Cole, age 71, of Columbus, MS, passed away October 22, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be Friday, October 25, 2013, at 12:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. David Coleman officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Macon, MS. Visitation will be Friday, October 25, 2013, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Cole was born July 29, 1942, in Shuqualak, MS, to the late Robert C. and Maggie Mae Rogers Eaves. She was a graduate of New Hope High School and Vaughn's Beauty College. Mrs. Cole was a hairdresser for 49 years and owned American Pawn Shop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jessie Clyde Eaves. Survivors include her sons, Tracy Cole of New Hope, and Jep Cole and his wife Melanie of New Hope, sisters, Juanita Vernon of Columbus, MS, Frances Wade and her husband Marlon of Mobile, AL, Pearl Copeland and her husband Ron of Joplin, MO, Edith Firth and her husband Tom of Biloxi, MS, and Faye Gricius and her husband George of Stone Mountain, GA, brother, Wayne Eaves and his wife Chic of Columbus, MS, grandson, John Noah Cole of New Hope and special friend, Linda Richardson of Columbus, MS. Pallbearers will be Tyler Robertson, Dennis Harfst, Brad Haines, Tony Vernon, Scott Shelton, and Gerald Vernon. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Copeland, George Gricius, Marlon Wade, Tom Firth, Rodney Eaves, Ricky Eaves, Forrest Gricius, Marlon Wade, Jr., Darrell Eaves, Randy Abrams, Conrad Vernon, and John Tyler Helton.
