Anna Elizabeth "Ms. Anna" Killough Ashley, age 80, of Columbus, MS, passed away December 9, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Margie's Place. A graveside committal will immediately follow at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Gunter & Peel Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Ashley was born April 9, 1933, in Columbus, MS, to the late Clay and Julia Vail Killough. She worked for over 20 years at Pete's Restaurant and worked the last 15 years at Margie's Place. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ashley, son, Ricky Williams, sister, Zella Simpson Jayens, and grandson, William Bowen. Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Hughes of Columbus, MS, sister, Orbery Lindsey Powell of Lake Blackshear, GA, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
