Dexter Randolf Francisco, age 70, of Columbus, MS, passed away May 6, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at 1:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Elder Herman Clark officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10, 2011, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mr. Francisco was born January 17, 1941, in Point Pleasant, WV, to the late Boyd and Ona Skeen Francisco. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving 2 tours in Vietnam. Mr. Francisco retired from the Air Force in Columbus, MS, in 1985 after serving for 21 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to camp and fish. Survivors include his wife, Perlene Addington Francisco of Columbus, MS, sons, Craig Denny Francisco, Jr. and his wife Kim of Papillion, NE, Larry Francisco and his wife Candice of Mantua, NJ, and Randy Francisco and his wife Amy of Columbus, MS, daughters, Susan Vest and her husband Bill of Columbus, MS, Donna Rosario and her husband James of Carlisle, PA, and Cindy Drake of Eclectic, AL, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be the Columbus Air Force Base Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 115A Hwy 12 West, Starkville, MS, 39759.
