MILDRED MARMON Mildred Louise Dickson Marmon, age 90, of Columbus, MS, passed away December 27, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be Friday, December 30, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Macon, MS, with Rev. James Black officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Marmon was born August 12, 1921, in Memphis, TN, to the late Jesse and Dolly Richardson Dickson. She was a graduate of Macon, MS, High School and spent her life as a homemaker. Mrs. Marmon was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Elmer Marmon of Columbus, MS, daughters, Sherry Harmond and her husband Charles of Columbus, MS, and Becky Coward and her husband David of Columbus, MS, sisters, Nicky Stuart of Macon, MS, and Earline Dugan of Pontotoc, MS, grandchildren, Edward Harmond and his wife Terry of Atlanta, GA, Bill Harmond and his wife Paula of Margate, FL, and Josh Harmond and his wife Shelly of Columbus, MS, and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chuck Younger and grandsons. Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 1201 College St., Columbus, MS, 39701 or to the donor's favorite charity.
