Iva Nell Ussery Johnson, age 84, of Columbus, MS passed away October 21, 2012 at her residence. Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Lone Oak Church of Christ Cemetery in Steens, MS, with Billy Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson was born May 11, 1928 in Melburne, AL to the late Rufus Lee and Zola Hutchinson Ussery. She retired from Beneke Corportation in 1972 and was a member of the Columbus Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Ervin Johnson, son, Charles Lee Johnson, and brother, Ralph Grady Ussery. Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Nell Johnson of Columbus, MS, and Florence Stokes of Columbus, MS, five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and men of the Columbus Church of Christ.
