Jackie Pridmore

September 3, 1942 — January 8, 2011

Mary Jacqueline Jackie Pridmore went to be with her Father in Heaven on January 8, 2011 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Mesothelioma, an aggressive form of cancer. Born September 3, 1942 in Ft. Smith, AK, Jackie is survived by her husband of 50 years George D. Pridmore, of Columbus, MS; a Son, David Pridmore of Nashville, TN; a Daughter, Joan Moore, of Starkville, MS; Son-in-law, Rob Moore; Daughter-in-law, Debbie Pridmore; Grandchildren, Michael Pridmore, Jonathan Payne, Tyler Moore, Rachel Moore, Hayden Moore, and Jessica Moore; Brother, Michael Sopka of Miami, FL; and many nieces and nephews and loving friends. Mrs. Pridmore was preceded in death by her parents John Jack and Mary Sopka. She attended Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Jackie is a caring wife, a loving mother, and a loyal friend who encouraged and supported her family and friends every day of her life. A naturally giving person, Jackie brightened the days for so many, including the doctor and nurses who cared for her over the past few months. She always wanted to make everyone she knew feel special. Precious, sweet and humble, yet strong, she always put the needs of others before her own. Many met and remember Jackie from the years she spent with Clinique in McRaes in Columbus. Jackie loved and enjoyed her career with Clinique, as well as people she met there. Many of her customers and associates became great life-long friends and relationships she cherished throughout her life. Visitation will be held at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home in Columbus. MS on Tuesday, January 11th from 4:00 " 7:00pm, followed by a celebration of Mrs. Pridmores life at 11:00am, Wednesday January 12th. A graveside service will also be held at Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church shortly thereafter. In additional to her Grandsons, pallbearers will include Nephews Scott Pridmore, Mark Pridmore, Bo Buxton, Joey Pridmore, Patrick Pridmore, Brad Pridmore, and Son-in-law, Rob Moore. The celebration will be led by Terry Maynard, Ron McDougal and Randy Phillips.
