Margaret Ducan Patterson
April 26, 1928 — December 27, 2013
Mrs. Patterson was born April 26, 1928, in Fayette, AL, to the late George W. and Dosha Elizabeth Taylor Duncan. She was a 1948 graduate of New Hope High School and worked as a caretaker for many years. Mrs. Patterson was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving in the nursery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Patterson.
Survivors include her daughters, Alice Patterson of Columbus, MS, Mary Lou Watt and her husband Hank of Columbus, MS, Brenda Patterson of Meridian, MS, and Beth Hines and her husband Leon of Columbus, MS, and grandchildren, Laura Leigh Hines and Chad Hines, both of Columbus, MS.
Pallbearers will be Larry Boyd, Ray Taylor, Dale Hallman, Wes Barrett, Al Wise, and Tommy Taylor. Honorary pallbeaers will be Dr. Anderzej Wartak and Dr. Eric Bounds. Memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church, 127 Airline Rd., Columbus, MS, 39702.
