Betty Jean Honeycutt

March 25, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be Friday, March
28, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. Philip White
officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Gunter &
Peel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Honeycutt was born June 6, 1939, in Tuscaloosa County, AL, to the
late James Virgil and Dorothy Uttley Sanders. She was a member of Mercy
Church of Steens, MS, and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in
death by her husband, Charles Curtis Honeycutt.
Survivors include her sons, Carl Beard, Jr. of Macon, MS, Billy Wayne
Beard of Columbus, MS, and Gary Beard of Columbus, MS, daughters, Marie
Whittle of Cedar Bluff, MS, and Teresa Beard of Columbus, MS, brothers, Pat
O'Bryan of Mobile, AL, and Man Peavy of Mobile, AL, sisters, Carolyn Davis
of Lucedale, MS, Sue Foster of Fayette, AL, Teresa Sanders Elmore of
Fayette, AL, Myrtle Posey of Fayette, AL, Shirley Howard of Fayette, AL,
Wanda Stein of Tuscaloosa, AL, Sarah Hammack of Fayette, AL, and Janelle
Coats of Lucedale, MS, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Billy Beard, Jr., Joshua Beard, Frank Harrison,
Bradley Beard, Brandon Beard, and Hebo Pritchett. Honorary pallbeaers will
be Bo Jarrett and Jimmy Whittle
