LEON JORDAN Leon Jordan, age 79, of Caledonia, MS, passed away September 20, 2011, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point, MS. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 22, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chapel. The interment will immediately follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS. Visitation will also be Thursday, September 22, 2011, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mr. Jordan was born May 24, 1932, in Sulligent, AL, to the late Allen and Para Lee Jordan. He worked for many years as a truck driver and farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Thomas Jordan and Hubert Jordan, and sister Lavern Humbers. Survivors include sons, Danny Jordan and Buddy Jordan of Caledonia, MS, daughter, Linda Savage and her husband Joseph of Somerville, TN, sister, Nellie Fay White of Caledonia, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
