Bobby Williams, age 75, of Columbus, MS, passed away June 14, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Healthcare - Golden Triangle. Graveside services will be Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 12:00 PM at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Rev. Tony Proctor officiating. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Williams was born April 18, 1937, in Vernon, AL, to Loventrice Williams Swindol of Montevallo, AL, and the late James W. Williams. He owned and operated Williams Painting with his son, Tony, for over 30 years. Mr. Williams enjoyed painting antebellum homes and enjoyed car racing. In addition to his father, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Johnson Williams, and brother, Charles Williams. Survivors include his mother, Loventrice W. Swindol, sons, Tony Williams of Columbus, MS, Paul Williams of Columbus, MS, Stanley Williams of Columbus, MS, step son, Buddy Wyres of Columbus, MS, brothers, Robert Williams of Montevallo, AL, Doug Williams of Columbus, MS, numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Denny Rutherford and Rod Ray.
