Mildred Parrish Norwood, age 101, passed away January 20, 2014, at Golden Living Center at Riverchase in Birmingham, AL. A memorial service will be announced at a later time by Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Norwood was born September 10, 1912, in Oktibbeha County, MS, to the late James and Eva Upton Edwards. She was a member of the former Central United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husbands, B. J. Parrish and Jim Norwood. Survivors include her daughter, Talulah Watson of Birmingham, AL, brother, Wilson Edwards, sister Mary Ann James and several nieces and nephews.
