Dorothy Eloise Hallman, 85, died May 30, 2013, at Pickens County Medical Center. Services are Saturday at 3:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home with the Rev. Curtis Bray officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation is from 1:30 PM until time of services. Mrs. Hallman was born March 28, 1928, in Tuscaloosa County, AL the only child of the late Perry Anderson Gwin and Una Patton Gwin. She was a 1946 graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. She married Woodrow Wilson Patterson in June 18, 1955 and Maurice Hallman on May 2, 1982. Survivors include her sons, Dennis (Jo) Patterson of Jacksonville, FL and Charles (Barbara) Patterson of Columbus; grandchildren, Kevin Dale Patterson, Kate Lynn Housel, Kayce Rae Bollman, Carley Jo Pembelton Kang, Carol Boone and Tina Marshall; great-grandchildren, Cailyn Gilchrist, Canyon Boykin, Dustin David, Trey Christianson and Britney Christianson; and great-great-grandchildren, Canyon Jacoby Boykin and Kingsley Thomas David. Pallbearers are Dale Hallman, Wayne Beasley, Canyon Boykin, Dustin David, Tommy Hallman and Ronnie Owens. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
