LOU BIGHAM Lou Emma Bigham age 91 died Friday, September 02, 2011 at Windsor Place Nursing and Rehab in Columbus. Services will be held Sunday, September 04, 2011 at 1:30 PM at Gunter and Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Walker and Jamie Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mrs. Bigham was born on Saturday, May 22, 1920 in Birmingham, AL to the late Henry Jasper and Betty Lillian Hollis Harris. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and a retired employee of the Herschede Clock Company. Mrs. Bigham loved taking care of people as well as animals. In addition to parents she was preceded in death by her husband James C. Bigham. Survivors include: One Brother: Robert Earl Harris, Columbus, MS One Sister: Lorraine Oyler, Columbus, MS Brother-In-Law William Stearn , Alaska Sister-In-Law Christine Herring, Alberta City, AL A host of nieces and nephews Nephews will serve as pallbearers In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Columbus Lowndes Humane Society P.O.
