James Terrell Landrum James Terrell Landrum died August 9, 2011 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Mississippi. Terrell was born in Louisville, MS on September 17, 1938. Mr. Landrum was the son of the late Benton Lebon Landrum and Hattie Maynard Landrum. He graduated from S.D. Lee High School in Columbus and received an Engineering Degree from Mississippi State University. He was an avid supporter of Mississippi State Athletics for many years. Mr. Landrum began working at Ceco Building at the age of 16 where he retired as President in 2003. He was past President of the Metal Building Manufacturers Association as well as former Chairman of the Mississippi Manufacturers Association. Terrell served on the Advisory Board of the Pushmataha Boy Scout Council and on the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army. He was a long time member of the Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow. Terrell also served in the Air National Guard. Mr. Landrum was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbus and the Builders Sunday School Class. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Griffin Landrum of Columbus, MS; son, Jim Landrum (LeAnne) of Collierville, TN; daughter Frances Landrum Daily (Patrick) of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Parker Daily, Catherine Landrum, Griffin Landrum, Preston Daily, and Rachel Landrum; sister Diane Johnson ( David) of Starkville, MS; and sister Janice Clem of Birmingham, AL. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Sharron Landrum Powell of Columbus, MS. Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at First Baptist Church in Columbus with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Because He Lives , P.O. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Builders Sunday School Class, Past and Present Employees of Ceco Building, and Dr. John Whitecar.
