Sheila Ruth Coleman

Sheila Ruth Coleman, age 67, of Columbus, MS, passed away April 3, 2014, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Joiner officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, April 5, 2014, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home.

Miss Coleman was born September 19, 1946, in Columbus, MS, to the late James B. and Dorothy Matherson Coleman. She was a graduate of S. D. Lee High School , Class of 1965 , and was retired from Seminole Manufacturing and Glenn Manufacturing. Miss Coleman was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Helton.

Survivors include her brother, Jim Coleman and his wife Jaynie of Vernon, AL, and his children Sonja Renacker of Columbus, MS, Tiffany Wyers and her husband Michael of Caledonia, MS, Carla Bittle and her husband Justin of Vernon, AL, and Candice Smith, brother, Danny "Teeter" Coleman and his wife Carolyn of Fulton, MS, and his children Alan Coleman and his wife Rinalee of Saltillo, MS, and Steven Coleman and his wife Amanda of Tupelo, MS, sister, Glenda Dumbler of Castle Rock, CO, and her children Karl Koehn

and his wife Sandy of Elizabeth, CO, Heather Norton and her husband Doug of Castle Rock, CO, and Paul Koehn and his wife Lindsey of Aurora, CO, nieces, Nancy Welch of Vernon, AL, Vicki Barton of Ethelsville, AL, and Sandra Duke of Vernon, AL, and nephews, Doug Duke of New Orleans, LA, Bennett Duke of Vernon, AL, and Richard Harris.

Pallbearers will be Steven Coleman, Allen Coleman, Paul Koehn, Tommy Beatty, Archie Beal, and Billy Woods.
