MARGIE JOHNSON Margie Ree Malone Johnson, age 90, of Little Rock, AR, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away June 3, 2012, at Emeritus at Pleasant Hills in Little Rock. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Columbus Church of Christ with Sherrill Bennett officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, June 9, 2012, from 10:00 AM until service time at the Columbus Church of Christ. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Johnson was born December 20, 1921, in Pickens County, AL, to the late Alfred and Verdie Sullivan Malone. She was a member of Windsong Church of Christ of North Little Rock, AR. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Johnson, and sons, Ronald Johnson and Larry Johnson. Survivors include her sons, Roger L. Johnson and his wife Virginia of Columbus, GA, Stennis E. Johnson and his wife Pam of Dallas, TX, Donald F. Johnson and his wife Diane of Little Rock, AR, and Jerry L. Johnson and his wife Kim of O'Fallon, MO, sister Bernice Malone Lindsey of Jackson, MS, 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
