Barbara Grace Honnoll went to be with her Lord and Savior April 21, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Visitation is Monday, April 22, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at 10:00 AM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. John Powell officiating and Rev. Jeff Ruth assisting. The interment will immediately follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS. Mrs. Honnoll was born in Lamar County, AL, to the late Herald Atkins and Mary Edith Atkins. She attended Lamar County High School. She had lived in Caledonia for the past 59 years. She was retired from 21 years of teaching pre-school and was a much loved teacher. She was a charter member of St. Paul Independent Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and on many various committees. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and confidant. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Burdette Honnoll of Caledonia, MS, son Dannie (Robbie) Honnoll of Steens, MS, daughters Kim (Lynn) McDaniel of Columbus and Ladean (Zach) Suber of Caledonia, MS, sister Anne (Robert) Bowen of Caledonia, MS, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Jason Blackston, Jeremiah Blackston, Talbert Honnoll, Lee Whitlow, Aubrey McDaniel, and Andrew McDaniel. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Pazucha, Doug Pazucha, Alan Morton, Olene Morton, Dr. John Whitecare and staff, Dr. Brett Brown, Scott Suber, Roland Deuschle, Baptist Memorial Hospice, Ralph Gault, Eddie Gault, Dennis Pinion and the Members of St. Paul Independent Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Baptist Memorial Hospice Program, 2623 5th Street North, Columbus, MS 39705.
