Mrs. Sumrall was born on May 20, 1922 in Ackerman, MS to the late Nola Antinette Edwards Bishop and Thomas James Bishop. She was a graduate of Ovett High School. She worked as a secretary doing accounting and payroll for Huyck Felt Company. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Audie Victor Sumrall; infant son, Howard Wayne Sumrall; and granddaughter, Tammy Laird. She and her husband lived most of their married life in Macon, MS, where she was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed keeping the nursery. They then moved to New Hope where she lived many years, before moving to Starkville, MS to be near family. She was a member of Calvery Baptist Church in Starkville. She was known for her love of flower gardens and her green thumb. She loved her family, her little dogs and her neighbors with whom she always shared her faith.
Suvivors include her daughters, Diane Clark (Larry) of Starkville, MS; Vicki Robinson (Terry) of Vernon, AL; and Sherry Taylor of Decatur, AL; grandchildren, Kevin Clark, Kyle Clark, Trent Robinson, Michael Taylor, and Haley Pennington, and 6 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Clark, Kyle Clark, Trent Robinson, Michael Taylor, Heath Pennington and Hunter Clark.
