Dorothy Jane Hartley Clardy age 86 died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Columbus. Services will be held Tuesday June 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Willard Pless and Bro. J.B. Flippo officiating. Burial will follow at Egger Cemetery. Visitation was held at Gunter & Peel funeral home Monday June 25, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. Mrs Clardy was born Tuesday, December 22, 1925 to the Late Luther Ira Hartley and Ruth Smith Hartley. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church. She retired from Clardy Well Drilling after 40 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Reaman Hartley(Jamie), Amon Hartley(Mickie), Cleophus Bud Harley(Boots). Survivors include: Sons: Larry Clardy, Los Angeles, CA; Bobby Clardy(Kerry) Toccoa, GA; Don Clardy(Becky), Columbus, MS. Sisters: Otley Swartz Brothers: James Clardy(Betty) Grandchildren: Angie Clardy Flye(Randy), Jenny Clardy Taylor(Robbie), Ben Clardy(Tambi), Kathy Clardy, Chris Clardy(Heather), Kelly Clardy Perkins(David), Michael Clardy(Whitney). Pallbearers will be: Randy Flye, Robbie Taylor, Ben Clardy, Chris Clardy, David Perkins, Michael Clardy, Walter Dodson, Ronny Holder. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Sonny Huffman, Harry Sanders, Frank Brock, Mike Brock, Shilton Gilliland, Johnny Holliman, Hal Strickland, Allen Morton, Dr. Bart Williams, Dr. James Woodard, Duward Brown, E.M.T.s and Policeman that worked the accident site, Chaplin Tate and Staff of Baptist Memorial Hospital.
