Ralph Elmer Moellenhoff, age 69, of Columbus, MS, passed away January 31, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be Friday, February 4, 2011, at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Floyd Smithey officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2011, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mr. Moellenhoff was born May 19, 1941, in Wentzville, MO, to the late Fredrick and Edna Augusta Behrens Moellenhoff. He was a graduate of Valpariaso University and received his masters degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia. Mr. Moellenhoff was a civil engineer for over 45 years and worked at Gulf States Manufacturing in Starkville, MS, for many years. He was a faithful member of Our Savior of Lutheran Church. Survivors include his daughters, Meg Elise Moellenhoff Reese and her husband, Ronnie of Victoria, TX, and Sara Joan Moellenhoff of Caledonia, MS, sons, Mark Alan Moellenhoff of Memphis, TN, Kenneth Carl Sandahl of Mountain Home, AR, and Bruce Fredrick Moellenhoff of Columbus, MS, and grandchildren, Jaylyn White, Shelby White, and Tucker Beasley, all of Caledonia, MS.
