Willie Mae Squires Otts, age 99, of Caledonia, MS died August 1, 2009 at the Care Center of Vernon. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. Tony Gallop officiating. Visitation will also be Wednesday, August 5, 2009 one hour prior to the service at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Otts was born June 17, 1910 in Attala County, MS to the late Rhody and Mittie Ray Squires. She lived in Caledonia, MS for the last 42 years and was a current resident of the Care Center of Vernon. Mrs. Otts was a Baptist and was preceded in death by her husband, Haston Otts. Mrs. Otts is survived by her daughter, Polly (R. J.) Jacobs of Caledonia, sons, Wayne Otts of Columbus, MS, Lamar (Jeanette) Otts of Sumpter, SC, James (Kathy) Otts of Rockford, IL, Billy (Joy) Otts of Shawnee, KS, Ralph (Dorothy) Otts of Eagan, MN, sister, Iva (Derwin) Bond of Mobile, AL, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Danny Otts, Todd Otts, Tony Jacobs, Greg Jacobs, Scottie Jacobs, Billy Wright, and Chris Wright.
