Polly Otts Jacobs, age 72, of Caledonia, MS, passed away January 28, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 31, 2013, at 10:00 AM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. Tony Gallop officiatin. The interment will immediately follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 30, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Jacobs was born May 25, 1940, in Ethel, MS, to the late Haston and Willie Squires Otts. She was a 1958 graduate of Caledonia High School and was a retired seamstress from Glenn Manufacturing. Mrs. Jacobs was a member of Kolola Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, and always had an ear to listen. Survivors include her husband, R. J. Jacobs of Caledonia, MS, daughters, Jean Wooten and her husband Roger of Huttig, AR, and Ann Wright and her husband Billy of Caledonia, MS, sons, Tony Jacobs of Caledonia, MS, and Greg Jacobs and his wife Janet of Caledonia, MS, brothers, Ralph Otts and his wife Dorothy of Eagan, MN, Jim Otts and his wife Kathy of Rockford, IL, Billy Otts of Shawnee, KS, Wayne Otts of Phoenix, AZ, and Lamar Otts and his wife Jeanette of Sumter, SC, sister-in-law, Nelda Duncan and her husband Bobby of Columbus, MS, brother-in-law, Gary Jacobs and his wife Kay of Caledonia, MS, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tony Jacobs, Greg Jacobs, Billy Wright, Roger Wooten, Chris Wright, and Scottie Jacobs. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Kolola Springs Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson, MS, 39213.
