Miss Wilma Irene Henderson, age 86, of Caledonia, MS, passed away March 4, 2014, at her residence. Private graveside services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS, with Rev. Todd Lemmon officiating. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Miss Henderson was born September 17, 1927, in Caledonia, MS, to the late Willie Richard and Irene Myers Henderson. She was a lifelong resident of Caledonia, MS, and 1945 graduate of Caledonia High School where she was salutatorian. Miss Henderson enjoyed sewing and working puzzles and was a member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Sue Henderson, Carrie Henderson, and Hilda Henderson Malone. Survivors include her sister, Elaine Henderson of Caledonia, MS, and nieces, Marilyn Whitten of Steens, MS, Beverly Deistler of Ellenton, FL, and Diane Clark of Columbus, MS. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
