Evelyn Pennington Miller, age 93, of Columbus, MS, passed away June 1, 2012, at her son's residence in Picayune, MS. Graveside services will be Monday, June 4, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery with Rev. Steve Galloway officiating. Vistation will be Monday, June 4, 2012, from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller was born August 16, 1918, in Columbus, MS, to the late Grady and Ruby Redus Pennington. She was a lifelong resident of Columbus, MS, and graduate of S. D. Lee High School. Mrs. Miller was a member of First Baptist Church, and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Miller. Survivors include her son, Mike Miller and his wife Jan of Picayune, MS, sister, Nancy Timm and her husband Ray of Columbus, MS, and grandchildren, David Miller, Carly Miller Stokes, Ryan Penton, Robby Penton, and Melinda Mitchell. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
