Rachel Ann Duncan Lawrence, age 67, of Caledonia, MS, passed away August 25, 2012, at Baptist Health Center in Jackson, MS. Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at 10:00 AM at Egger Cemetery, Caledonia, MS, with Rev. Tony Gallop officiating. Gunter & Peel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lawrence was born October 10, 1944, in Columbus, MS, to the late Willard and Ilene Gallop Duncan. She was a graduate of Caledonia High School and received her paralegal degree from MUW. Mrs. Lawrence worked for a number of years for the Lowndes County Sheriff's Department, Coleman Realty, and Bloomers Nursery. She was a member of Prospect Baptist Church of Lamar County, AL, and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Wilson "Larry" Lawrence. Suvivors include her sons, Larry Lawrence, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Caledonia, MS, and Jerry Lawrence and his wife Teresa of Birmingham, AL, brother, Wayne Duncan and his wife Lena Mae of Caledonia, MS, sister, Cindy Pierce and her husband Jerry of Caledonia, MS, grandchildren, Taylor, Will, and Marie Lawrence, all of Birmingham, AL, and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kevin Gallop, Steve Huckaby, Brian Ramsey, Joey Young, Isaac Smith, and Rob Odom. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Egger, Mack Egger, Doug Holliman, Brian Holliman, Walt Willis, and Walter Dodson.
