Anne Pelegrin Ikerd, age 55, of Starkville, MS, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away January 6, 2011 at her residence in Starkville. A memorial service will be Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 1:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Dr. Shawn Parker officiating. Visitation will also be Saturday, January 8, 2011, from noon until 1:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Ikerd was born December 19, 1955, in Jackson, MS, to Frances Johnson Pelegrin of Clarksdale, MS, and the late Carson Pelegrin. She was a graduate of Lee Academy of Clarksdale and attended Mississippi State University. Mrs. Ikerd was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbus and she loved the Bulldogs of Mississippi State and her boston terrier, Essie. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, David N. Ikerd of Starkville, MS, daughter, Blair Reed and her husband, Brett, of Mathiston, MS, grandson and pride and joy, Wyatt Reed of Mathiston, MS, and sisters, Dabney Pelegrin of Sarasota, FL, Cissy Kervin of Clarksdale, MS, and Monte Pelegrin of Clarksdale, MS.
