PAUL ORTIZ - Paul Salvador Ortiz, Jr., age 50, of Columbus, MS, passed away December 17, 2010, at Autoga County, AL. Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at 1:00 PM at Blaylock Cemetery in Sulligent, AL. Rev. Jacky Gilmer will officiate under the direction of Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 22, 2010, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mr. Ortiz was born December 4, 1960 in Chicago, IL to Paul S. Ortiz, Sr. of St. Louis, MO, and the late June Marie Owens Ortiz. He served for four years in the United States Army and was a truck driver for Bigbee Transportation. Mr. Ortiz enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. In addition to his father, survivors include his daughters, Rebecca Ortiz of Columbus, MS, Jennifer Cribbs of Vernon, AL, son, Daniel Ortiz of Columbus, MS, brothers, Paul Dennis Ortiz of St. Louis, MO, Robert Lynn Ortiz of St. Louis, MO, Alan Christopher Ortiz of St. Louis, MO, and Randy Timothy Ortiz of St. Louis, MO, sister, Malinda Joy Hillenburg of St. Charles, MO, 3 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
