Frances Lee Fly Minor, age 95, of Columbus, MS, passed away October 4, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday, October 7, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. Melvin Mordecai officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Egger Cemetery in Caledonia, MS. Visitation will be Sunday, October 6, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Minor was born January 1, 1918, in Montgomery, AL, to the late Joel B. and Lillie Bell Pugh Fly. She attended Union Chapel Baptist Church and Living Faith Tabernacle. Mrs. Minor loved her family, loved family gatherings, and enjoyed cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Marvin Taylor, Jeffie Adams, and Richard Minor, brothers, Algie Fly, J. B. Fly, and Paul Raymond Fly, sisters, Opel South and Oralee Griffin, and step son Jimmy Minor. Survivors include her sons, Marvin Taylor and his wife Joann of TX, Royce Taylor and his wife Mary of Columbus, MS, Paul Taylor and his wife Christine of Steens, MS, Joel Taylor and his wife Mary Kay of Dehran, LA, and Jack Adams and his wife Kathy of West Point, MS, daughters, Charlotte Ivy and her husband Jimmy of New Albany, MS, Dorothy Butler of Caledonia, MS, and Wanda Fuerst of Memphis, step daughters, Judy Shaw and Shirley Tate, 26 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Paul Taylor, Jr., Jack Taylor, Larry Atkins, Bradley Smith, Cole Gustavsen, and Tony Atkins. Honorary pallbeaers will be the nurses and staff of Aurora Australis Lodge.
