JOHN ADAMS - John M. Adams, Jr., age 60 of Hamilton, MS died July 22, 2009 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS. Funeral Services will be 3:00 pm Friday, July 24, 2009 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Shawn Parker officating and Gunter and Peel Funeral Home directing. A Graveside service will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 27, 2009 at Corinth National Cemetery in Corinth, MS with full Military Honors. Mr. Adams was born November 29, 1948 in Bremerton, WA . He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a retired TSGT in the United States Air Force with 20 years of service, and Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed as a parole/probation officer with the Mississippi Department of Corrections in Lowndes County. Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Sharon Jean Adams of Hamilton, MS; Mother and Father, Agnes and Mansie Hathcock of Columbus, MS; son, Daniel Adams (Christy) of Columbus, MS; two grandchildren, Lauren Adams and Landon Adams. Pallbearers will be the Honor Guard from Columbus Air Force Base at Corinth National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be all Law Enforcement Officers and Personel.
