05/21/1932 GLADYS HUDSON - Gladys Norris Hudson, age 79, of Steens, MS, passed away October 4, 2011, at Trinity Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. Bob Anderson and Rev. Jerry Boyd officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Furnace Hill Cemetery near Vernon, AL. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 5, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Hudson was born May 21, 1932, in Carbon Hill, AL, to the late Harley and Biddie Kell Norris. She was a hardworking housewife and loving mother and grandmother to four children and ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Hudson was a Southern Baptist and in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Hudson, brother, Junior Norris, and sister, Louise Upton. Survivors include her sons, Eddie Hudson and his wife Alex of Columbus, MS, and Ted Hudson and his wife Liz of Lebanon, TN, daughters, Janette Kinniburgh and her husband Scott, and Brenda Bonner and her husband Richard of Columbus, MS, brother, Henry Norris of Jasper, AL, sisiter, Hazel Skinner of Jasper, AL, grandchildren, Chris Hudson, Michael Hudson, Stephanie Mullikin, Nikki Hudson, Heather Bonner, Ben Hudson, Tim Bonner, Tyler Bonner, Brittany Mullikin, and Cody Kinniburgh, and great grandchildren, Mason Hudson and Alana Bonner. Grandchildren and family members will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-1942.
