Annie Ruth Grafton

ANNIE RUTH GRAFTON - Annie Ruth Boswell Grafton, age 93, of Columbus, MS died August 17, 2009 at the Windsor Place in Columbus. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. Sammy Crawford officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will also be Wednesday, August 19, 2009 from 3:00-4:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Grafton was born May 13, 1916 in Meridian, MS to the late Luthur and Annie Louise Butler Boswell. She worked for a number of years for Hughes Management and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mrs. Grafton was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Ann Grafton Gore. Survivors include her husband of 71 years, W. L. Grafton, Jr. of Columbus, brother, Maurice J. Boswell of Meridian, MS, son-in-law, Ray Gore, Sr. of Columbus, grandchildren, Ray (Kym) Gore, Jr. of Tampa, FL and Cyndi Gore (Shawn) Sullivan of Starkville, MS, and great grandchild, Margaret Ann Sullivan of Starkville, MS. Pallbearers will be Jamie Baucom, Keith Bryant, Frank Golden, Frank Cockrell, David Gray, and Rick Corey. John Cockrell will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Memorials may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Building Fund 127 Airline Rd. Columbus, MS 39702.
