Carolyn Miller Gressett, age 90, of Columbus, MS, passed away April 3, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 1:00 PM at Blue Springs Cemetery near Chunky, MS. Rev. Ron McDougald will officiate with Gunter & Peel Funeral Home directing. Mrs. Gressett was born February 8, 1921, in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Charles and Mary Backe Miller. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a long time resident of Trinity Place Retirement Community, and in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Gressett. Survivors include her sons, Andy Gressett of Pearl, MS, and Karl Gressett of Pensacola, FL, two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
