Ricky Williams Ricky Williams passed away suddenly in his sleep Saturday, April 13, 2013. He was 63 years old. Ricky was born in Columbus, Mississippi, on August 11, 1949. He graduated from New Hope High School in 1967 and attended Mississippi State University. He served his country during the Vietnam War as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He has been in the construction business in Columbus for the past 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Francie Rich Williams; his daughters, Erin Melissa Williams of Columbus and Monica Williams Sherman (Roger) and their two children, Cortney Elizabeth Sherman and Roger Davis Sherman of Pensacola, Florida. He is also survived by his mother, Anna Killough Ashley and his sister, Stephanie Jean Pegram as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved mom, Zella Killough Jaynes. Ricky loved his life in Columbus, his family, playing golf, hunting, playing cards and following the Mississippi State Bulldogs. He lived life to the fullest as many can attest. A celebration of life will be held at Green Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
