LOUISE HOPPER Mary Louise Moore Hopper, age 85, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 25, 2013, at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Brian Adkins officiating. The private family interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 27, 2013, one hour prior to the service at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mrs. Hopper was born December 22, 1927, in Caledonia, MS, to the late Thomas Filmore and Mary Julia Mattison Moore. She was an active member of the Church of Christ and attended the Hwy 69 location since 1968. Mrs. Hopper was a homemaker and also worked as a decorator alongside her husband in building and contracting. For several years she was also the decorator at Hopper, Inc. Building and Decorating Center in Columbus, MS. Mrs. Hopper devoted her time to her church, family, friends, and civic work. She donated 7000 hours as a Pink Lady in the Gift Shop of Baptist Memorial Hospital. Beside her role as mother, she enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren immensly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Hopper and son, Ronald Ray Hopper.
