RAY WILSON James Rayburne "Ray" Wilson, age 61, of Columbus, MS, passed away November 25, 2013, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Funeral services will be Friday, November 29, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. Junior Eads officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 29, 2013, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson was born January 23, 1952, in Columbus, MS, to Louise Shepherd Mayberry of Haleyville, AL, and the late J. T. Wilson. He worked for Baldor Electric of 16 years and also worked for 4 County for a number of years. Mr. Wilson was an avid Mississippi State fan and coached pee wee football and girls softball for a number of years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren and family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Candace VanDiver. In addition to his mother, survivors include his daughters, Khristy Belue and her husband Scott of Columbus, MS, and Kim Nabors of Columbus, MS, sisters, Billie Sue Sims Trammel of Tupelo, MS, Jenny Murphy of Columbus, MS, Becky Stevens of Haleyville, AL, and Anna Holaday of Columbus, MS, grandchildren, Jamie Wilson, Courtney Baity, Anthony Baity, Nellee Belue, Natalee Belue, Kaden Belue, and Bridgette Nabors, and great granddaughter Bentley Neese. Pallbearers will be Michael Stevens, Dustin Murphy, Shad Sims, Jason VanDiver, Richard Moore, Mike Moore, Clifton Bishop, Mike Cole, and Sean Cole. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Taggart, Mike Rhodes, Corky Jones, Jim Price, Bob Murphy, Larry Bond, and Kenneth Montgomery.
