DAHRA G. BOBITT Dahra Gale Bobitt, age 67, of Columbus, MS, passed away March 27, 2011, at The Windsor Place. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Gunter & Peel Chapel with Rev. Tommy Gillon officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will also be Wednesday, March 30, 2011, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Gunter & Peel Funeral Home. Miss Bobitt was born December 16, 1943, in Columbus, MS, to the late Lee Roy and Oma Loye Baker Bobitt. She was a lifetime resident of Columbus, MS, and graduate of New Hope High School. Miss Bobitt was a beloved sister and chef, active member of Fairview Baptist Church and Friendship Sunday School Class, and was a retired long time employee of United Techologies. After leaving United Technologies, she was employed by the Tenn-Tom Waterway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Laura D. Bobitt. Survivors include her brothers, James Bobitt of Columbus, MS, and Keith Bobitt, and his wife Gloria, of Birmingham, AL, sisters, Barbara Jaynes of Jackson, MS, Joyce Miller, and her husband, Don of Columbus, MS, and Cleta Collums, and her husband, Aubrey of Marks, MS, and also numerous nieces and nephews.
