ARRY ALDERSON - Harry "Paw" Alderson, age 67, of Columbus, MS died September 11, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services will be Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Maynard officiating and Gunter & Peel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will also be Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Alderson was born April 16, 1942 in Lafayette County, MS to the late Vettra Curtis and Louise Mathis Alderson. He was a graduate of the University High School of Oxford, MS and was also a graduate of the University of Mississippi. He retired from the State of Mississippi District Attorneys Office and was a member of the Beersheba Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Linda Alderson of Columbus, MS, son, Stephen Alderson (Tammy) of Columbus, grandsons, Matthew and Christopher Alderson of Columbus, brother, V. Glen Alderson of Oxford, MS, and sisters, Sue Brown (Johnny) of Oxford, MS, Ann Locke (Jerry) of Oxford, MS, and Sylvia Jenkins of Southaven, MS. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
